Traces of the past define the town’s identity, illustrating Alghero’s role throughout the centuries, both in Sardinia and in the Mediterranean Sea. 

L’allestimento restituisce l’immagine della città catalana e dei suoi abitanti in un itinerario che si snoda in quattro  sezioni tematiche organizzate secondo un ordine cronologico. Il percorso si articola sui due piani dell’edificio attraverso ricostruzioni ambientali fedeli e suggestive.

The museum guides visitors along well-defined exhibition trails through prehistory and history and showcases different, yet complementary, perspectives: the sea, the lands of the living and the sacred realm.
